Working for you… Not the insurer

What Is a Loss Assessor?

When disaster strikes and damage occurs to your property, dealing with the insurance company can be stressful and time-consuming. This is where a Loss Assessor steps in.

A Loss Assessor is a regulated professional who works on behalf of you, the policyholder, to manage your insurance claim from start to finish. Unlike a Loss Adjuster, who is appointed by your insurer to protect their interests, we work solely for you—ensuring you receive the maximum entitlement under your policy.

At Property Claim Assist, our expert team of independent Loss Assessors has helped hundreds of homeowners and businesses across the UK take control of their claims and secure fair, fast settlements.

What Does a Loss Assessor Do?

A Loss Assessor represents you, the policyholder — not the insurance company. Our job is to protect your interests and manage the full insurance claim process on your behalf.

Here’s what we do:

  • Assess the Damage – We inspect your property and gather the evidence needed to support your claim.

  • Handle the Paperwork – From claim forms to detailed reports, we manage all documentation and submissions.

  • Negotiate with Insurers – We liaise with the insurance company and their Loss Adjusters to fight for the best possible outcome.

  • Coordinate Repairs – We can help organise vetted contractors to carry out works and ensure standards are met.

  • Monitor Progress – We keep you informed every step of the way, ensuring nothing is missed or delayed.

With Property Claim Assist, you’re not alone in the process — you have an expert in your corner from start to finish.
