Loss Assessing Services – Clarity on Fees and How We’re Paid

If you’ve suffered damage to your home or commercial property, navigating the insurance process can be stressful and confusing. That’s where we come in. We act on your behalf—not your Insurer’s—to help you achieve the best possible outcome under your insurance policy. Naturally, one of the first questions people ask is: what does it cost? We want to be upfront and transparent about that.

No Upfront Fee – Where You Use Our Recommended Contractor Network

In many accepted claims, we are able to offer our professional Loss Assessing services at no direct cost to you—provided you use our recommended network of Chartered Surveyors and approved Contractors to repair your property.
In these cases:
  • We are paid a fee directly by the Contractor or Surveyor for supporting and managing the reinstatement process.

  • There is no additional charge to you, and no deduction from your claim settlement.

  • All firms in our network are vetted, experienced, and regulated where appropriate

We offer this option to ensure claims are progressed professionally and fairly, and to reduce the burden on you during a difficult time.

Important Notes on This Option

Not all insurance policies allow free choice of contractor. Some Insurers reserve the right to appoint or approve their own repair firms. If this is the case, we will advise you and work with you on the most appropriate next steps.
Also, whilst there is no direct cost to you, it’s important to understand that our fee is included in the commercial arrangement with the contractor. This does not increase your claim value or reduce your entitlement, but we believe it’s only fair that you are aware of how we’re paid.

What If I Want to Use My Own Contractor or Take a Cash Settlement?

If you prefer not to use our network—or if the Insurer settles in cash—we can still act on your behalf and work to maximise your entitlement under the policy.
  • We charge a percentage fee based on the final value of the settlement.

  • All firms in our network are vetted, experienced, and regulated where appropriate

  • Our involvement typically results in higher settlement outcomes, more robust negotiations, and greater clarity for the policyholder.
